The exercises underwater have several benefits.

We can mention the ludic aspect of the contact with the water, the situation of decreasing the impact of the locomotor system and evidently the possibility of having higher caloric expenditure than that provided by terrestrial treadmills.

The advantage of Aquafit is that you do not need any kind of training on coordination as you need not only regarding swimming but hydro gymnastics as well and also the possibility to quantify the intensity of the exercise you are doing.
